The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP), an independent quasi-regulatory and quasi-judicial body dedicated to ensuring healthy competition and economic well-being, is seeking highly qualified individuals for the following positions on a two-year contract basis:
1. Sr. Research Specialist 2. Jr. Research Specialist
Qualification and Experience: The ideal candidate shall possess an MPhil degree, preferably a Ph.D., in Economics, Finance, or Law from an HEC recognized institution or a reputable foreign university, with a minimum of 2 years of research experience. Candidates with a Master’s Degree and 5 years of research experience may also be considered. The candidate should demonstrate leadership skills, exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and expertise in advanced research methodologies and data analysis. A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework in Pakistan is required.

Remuneration: The Commission offers excellent remuneration ranging from Rs.350,000 to Rs.550,000 (Lump sum/All inclusive), based on candidates’ experience and qualifications.
Jr. Research Specialist: Qualification and Experience: The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Law, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in market research principles, excellent English communication skills, and familiarity with survey tools and statistical analysis techniques are advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting primary and secondary research to collect data for market analysis.
- Analyzing data and preparing reports using various tools, including Excel, SPSS, and other statistical software.
- Participating in the development of research methodologies and processes.
- Assisting in the preparation of presentations and other documentation.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze research data.
- Maintaining the accuracy and completeness of research databases and spreadsheets.
Remuneration: The Commission offers excellent remuneration ranging from Rs.250,000 to Rs.350,000 (Lump sum/All inclusive), based on candidates’ experience and qualifications.
