Purpose of the Position: The Deputy General Manager (Procurement) will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing procurement strategies and operations to maximize process efficiency and productivity within the parameters of applicable/legal regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications:
- MBA/Master/Bachelor’s degree with 16 years of qualification in Management/Supply Chain Management/Logistics.
Experience:
- 10 years post-qualification procurement experience.
- 3-5 years as a Procurement Manager, particularly in B2B.
- Knowledge of Public Procurement Regulations Authority Rules and related rules & regulations.
Skills Required:
- Quick learner and multitasker.
- Ability to conduct detailed procedures in a time-constrained environment.
- Good written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and team leadership skills.
Age Limit: 45 Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of PMDC Procurement strategy.
- Design processes and procedures to support business goals.
- Develop and manage the procurement budget in line with business goals.
- Lead sourcing of new vendors, negotiate, and sustain networking relationships.
- Develop and ensure the implementation of policies, procedures, and systems in compliance with PPRA rules and applicable regulations.
- Set policy guidelines for cost-effective procurement processes.
- Perform risk assessment on potential contracts and agreements.
- Reduce reliance on single bidders/suppliers.
